What is Mediation?

Mediation is an alternative to litigation that allows people to resolve their problems outside of court. In mediation, two or more people work through a neutral and detached third party to resolve their problems. The mediator helps the parties identify the problems they need to resolve, facilitates the negotiation between the parties, and drafts the mutually agreed upon settlement agreement. Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution that can be used to solve legal problems involving divorce, marriage dissolution, child custody, lease disputes, employment conflict, and many other legal problems. For example, a couple that is separating will use mediation to develop a mutually agreed upon child custody agreement, or estranged business partners might choose mediation to resolve their conflict.

An Alternative to Litigation

Legal problems are scary for most people.  The stress of having a new conflict in your life coupled with the financial uncertainty of navigating the legal system can be overwhelming.  Although most cases do not actually go to a litigated trial, the thought of fighting a contested case is emotionally taxing.  Mediation is often a cost-effective way to solve your legal problems without spending time, energy, and resources on needless litigation.

Cost-effective Solution

Our firm can help you quickly resolve your conflict at a fraction of the cost of litigating your disagreement in court. We utilize online mediation conference rooms to help you mediate your case from the comfort of your own home on your schedule. This prevents your legal problems from forcing you to take time off from work and interrupting your daily routine. Moreover, a fully litigated court case can take large amounts of time and money. Our goal is to help you identify and resolve your problems outside of court, which saves you both time and money.
